‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ created quite a stir when it was released back in 2011 – especially among women.

Since the book ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, written by E L James, was published it has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide. After what has felt like months of speculation and rumours the names have been revealed as to who will play the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

We all knew a film was coming, it’s been in the pipeline for quite a while now.

Sam Taylor-Wood will be directing the movie adaptation of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ – the movie which is based on a script by screenwriter Kelly Marcel who wrote the likes of ‘Saving Mr Banks’.

What about the main characters though, what about Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele? Who will play them in the 50 Shades of Grey Movie? Well you don’t need to wonder anymore.

Author E L James (above) took to Twitter a short while ago to make the announcement. The series of tweets can be seen below.

Back in August it was rumoured that ‘Pacific Rim’ star Charlie Hunnam was in talks to be in the movie and now we know those rumours were in fact true.

Dakota Johnson who was in David Fincher’s Facebook movie ‘The Social Network’ will take on the role of literature student Anastasia Steele in the movie which is set to be released on the 1st of August 2014 in the US (International dates to follow).

If you haven’t read the Fifty Shades of Grey (yes there are more than one!) then we may as well start off with a little summary of what was getting all the women in the country and probably the world in a flutter.

Be warned, this probably is a ‘clean’ summary of the book but if you talk to your nearest female that’s of age to be reading these sort of books then they’ll be able to fill you in.

“When literature student Anastasia Steele interviews successful entrepreneur Christian Grey, she finds him very attractive and deeply intimidating. Convinced that their meeting went badly, she tries to put him out of her mind – until he turns up at the store where she works part-time, and invites her out.

Unworldly and innocent, Ana is shocked to find she wants this man. And, when he warns her to keep her distance, it only makes her want him more.

But Grey is tormented by inner demons, and consumed by the need to control. As they embark on a passionate love affair, Ana discovers more about her own desires, as well as the dark secrets Grey keeps hidden away from public view.”

God Dakota is HORRIBLE for Ana! She looks nothing like the character what-so-ever. She isn’t petite and dainty and delicate with big eyes, assets, and pretty features. She is totally unattractive and looks old. I am shocked! I hope Team 50 will revisit and revise. I will not be seeing this film with her cast as Ana.
