Fans of both Adam Lambert and Queen have been getting ever more excited at the prospect the stars recording new music together, after all, they work so well on stage.

Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor have frequently been dropping hints about teaming up with the American Idol star in the studio as well as on stage and it sounds like this recorded collaboration could be about to happen soon.

The group have already enjoyed a blockbuster tour of North America earlier this year, along with a series of shows in Australia and New Zealand. They’ve since announced new European concerts for next year.

It’s no secret that Adam fits in with the band perfectly, he’s an ideal match, he’s got the voice, the soul, the personality that screams Queen and he’s bringing a whole new audience to the rockers’ live performances.

Now that the tour is over Queen are focusing on finishing up their new album ‘Queen Forever’ and for Roger Taylor, recording with Adam Lambert would be something they’d like to do.

Speaking with Ultimate Classic Rock Taylor explained: “I think it would be very interesting, because his voice is so extraordinary and I think we could really do something great with it. I see no end to the possibility and the potential of Adam Lambert.”

Taylor went on to add (something that all his fans already know): “He’s a fabulous performer, and I think it would be very interesting to do something with him.”

In other Queen news, a previously unreleased track called ‘Let Me Be In Your Heart Again’ has been mixed by William Orbit and is featuring exclusively on the Coca-Cola (RED) campaign.

Commenting on being part of the campaign Brian May said: “It’s been 23 years since the world lost our beloved Freddie Mercury,”

“We’ve made extraordinary progress in the fight against AIDS in that time. But we cannot simply rest on the fact that the treatment is available.”

He went on to add that the treatment also has to be provided and Roger and himself are “proud” to give a new track to the RED campaign in the hope that Freddie’s “powerful voice” can inspire people once again.

If you haven’t seen it yet then check out the new track below and of course let us know your thoughts in the comments below, on Twitter and on Facebook.

would buy an adam/queen album in less than a heartbeat they are FABULOUS together, and somewhere Freddie is grinning from ear to ear.

William Orbit’s mix of Queen’s Let Me In (Your Heart Again) sort of makes it sound like a bad Hot Space and The Works hybrid, I VASTLY prefer the original version, it actually sounds like a song from The Works, unlike the.. rather awful mix Orbit made.

And Lambert with the lads wouldn’t be bad. I’m hoping they record something heavier, I’m really growing tired of this ‘synthesizer’ garbage. Listen to Hammer To Fall, listen to Now I’m Here, listen to Ogre Battle. These are the things that I am hoping for with any new record that they might do, the heavy stuff again, that stuff is God-like.

I think I like the song .. Freddie singing … QUEEN background vocals … but the extra ‘music’ that has been ‘injected’ really isn’t needed … QUEEN instruments don’t need any ‘help’? Prefer it cleaner with just QUEEN providing the music … won’t lie … I can visualize ADAM singing this song too … all this is JMO!

Don’t call it Queen if you record with Lambert. Without Freddie Mercury it’s not Queen. Have SOME respect for Freddie PLEASE!!!
