Glamberts, Adam Lambert needs you and your vote! That’s right, the performer has been nominated to recieve the New Year’s Recognition and we know, you would all love him to win.
It has been announced that The Gay UK’s New Year’s Recognition list have nominated the vocal powerhouse in the entertainment category alongside British singer Joe McElderry and the Drag Queens Of London.
The Gay UK describe people who are nominated in this category as “people or organisations who have contributed to the awareness of LGBT+ people in the entertainment industry”
Describing Adam’s nomination the website say that Adam is the “First openly gay artist to have an album, ‘Trespassing’, top the US charts in 2012. Currently on tour with Queen as lead singer.”
The website have also released a statement which discusses the New Year’s Recognition list in greater detail and confirms it has been created to honour those who create a significant impact on the LGBT community.
The statement reads: “In the last month, thousands of people have nominated hundreds of individuals, projects and companies.”
“We’ve taken the top three from each of the eight categories and it’s your chance now to vote on who should receive the New Year’s Recognition. Recipients will be announced on the 1st January 2015.”

Adam, as you all know is currently performing with legendary rock band Queen – and are set to get back on the road and tour across Europe and the UK at the beginning of next year.
This follows on from the massively successful Summer tour which took place earlier this year and saw the band go as far as Australia and New Zealand.
Recently the band appeared in the UK to perform on the X Factor results show and Adam was thrilled with how their performance went down.
