It has been revealed that a MAJOR new character from the Marvel comics will be making his way over to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and let’s put it this way, it’s not all over for Mike Peterson.
In a press release, SHIELD producer Jeffrey Bell insisted that he’s been “waiting all season for this moment” in which he can reveal a brand new arc for one of the characters. Get all the deets inside!
So, it has been confirmed that on the February 4 episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Mike Peterson will transform into the cyborg Deathlok. The last time we saw Peterson, he was having his eye embedded with some sort of cybernetic technology and we’ll see the result of this during the said episode.
In a press release, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D producer Jeffrey Bell confirmed: “We have been waiting all season for this moment where we can reveal that Mike Peterson’s story arc is an origin story. We’re thrilled to have J August Richards playing Deathlok and to have our audience enjoy this favourite Marvel character on the show.”
Richards went on to add: “If you would have asked when I was 9 years old what I wanted to be, I would have said a superhero and I’m so excited to be one now as an adult on TV! It’s a dream come true”.
Deathlok was first introduced to Marvel Comics back in 1974 and the said episode will focus on whether he can become an ally of SHIELD or not.
