Ainsley Harriott launches no chip week

Ainsley Harriott is planning to drive around the UK in a converted chip van to launch No Chip Week.
In response to a survey which found that more than half of British people have chips at least once a week, Ainsley decided to promote healthy alternative’s to the fatty snack.
“We all love a good chip, but eating the same thing day-in, day-out can get really boring – there are so many delicious alternatives such as risotto, pulses and couscous, so I am throwing down the gauntlet to all the chip addicts, challenging them to go a week without their fix,” he told PA.
He added: “With my No Chip Week van, I want to see people trying something different, and couscous is a great example of this. It’s quick, easy and delicious.”
