Alan Carr and Graham Norton land new TV deals worth £4million!

TV chat hosts and comedians Alan Carr and Graham Norton have both signed new deals for their respective TV shows which means as well as netting the pair around £4million, their shows will be on our screens until at least 2014.

However, it seems the competition between the stars is about to hot up as both their shows are scheduled to be in the same timeslots.

The Sun reports that both shows will air at peak time on Friday nights, with Alan’s show airing on Channel 4 and Graham’s on the BBC.

Last night, a Channel 4 source told the paper, “We took a risk and it’s paid off. People love coming on his show and we get some top-flight guests.

“We’ve tied him down for two more years to stop anyone else getting him.”

And a BBC source said, “Graham’s been having a blast and he can’t see himself going anywhere else.

“The BBC hasn’t got loads of money to throw around so everyone is happy with it.”

The Graham Norton Show generally achieves viewing figures of around 4 million, while Chatty Man pulls in around 2 million.
