Alan Carr In Karen Matthews Scandal

Comedian Alan Carr made an astounding speech backstage at the British Comedy Awards this week which shocked and stunned the attending media. It seems that Alan dedicated his award to Karen Matthews, the woman recently convicted of arranging the kidnapping of her daughter in order to claim reward money.

Carr had been given an award for the Best Comedy Entertainment Personality for his Friday and Sunday Night Project Shows and appeared to be totally unprepared as he took to the stage to accept the honour.

When he later talked about his award to the gathered press, he stunned them with what can only be described as a tribute to the evil mum that will surely leave his fans reeling.

The Daily Star Sunday reports that Alan said, “I didn’t have time to prepare a speech because I didn’t know I was going to win the award.

“If I’d had time to prepare something I think I would have had to have mentioned Karen Matthews because I’m obsessed with her.

“As far as I’m concerned she’s an icon for gays.

“Everyone loves a bit of rough, so I’d have to dedicate my award to Karen Matthews.”

I can’t begin to imagine why Alan would have found this amusing or thought that anyone else would, but as a fan of his, I’m disgusted by what he had to say. What do you feel about it?

cant help but laugh, i would like to condem but the badness, the counter culterness, the naughtyness, of it makes me laugh, its like a clever comment a child would make if they wanted to shock a parent or some other authority figure. i am glad that comedians a refusing to play safe in these times when there seems to be a push from some parts of the media to make them water down there self expression
