Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall has revealed that he and former Street star Lucy-Jo Hudon are planning to tie the knot later this year.

Alan plays Tyrone Dobbs on the show and Lucy-Jo played Katy Harris up until two years ago, when she left to pursue new projects.

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Alan revealed: “Lucy and I will get married this year. We’re both looking forward to our big day. But we’re not ready to be parents yet. We want to enjoy being married for a while.”

He added: “Obviously the build-up to Tyrone and Molly’s wedding in Corrie has prepared me for the real thing. And Lucy’s character in Wild At Heart got married last year, so we’ve both had a taste of what it’s like walking up the aisle.”
