Alan Titchmarsh signs £11million ITV deal for new gardening show

Alan Titchmarsh will remain on ITV for the foreseeable future and the famous gardener has just inked a deal tying him to the channel, worth £11 million.

As well as continuing with ‘The Alan Titchmarsh Show’, the presenter will also front a new show set to rival BBC’s Gardeners’ World. As he hosted the series for six years before leaving the Beeb, Alan is the perfect man for the job.

Alan, 61, told The Sun:

“My greatest commitment has always been to people at home who want reliable information put over in a clear manner.

“And the opportunity to offer a trustworthy brand is a challenge I am determined to fulfil.”

A source said: “Alan loves gardening and was desperate to do a show like Gardeners’ World for ITV. Gardening is big business in Britain so it makes perfect sense.

“The deal also means they can flog loads of stuff with Alan’s name on.

“He’s a trusted guy so they’re pretty confident he will make money for them.”
