Alexander Armstrong and Emma Willis to host game show, Prize Island, and you can star in it too!
Alexander Armstrong, who began his TV career as a comedy actor, has become the darling of game shows of late – though I still fail to see why anyone would take part or even watch Pointless – and he’s about to add another notch to his game show belt with Prize Island, which is set to air on ITV later this year.
He’ll host the new game show alongside Big Brother’s Bit on the Side host Emma Willis, and both will oversee four couples who will “battle for survival” and to win the prize of £50,000. And as you’ll see after the jump, ITV are looking for peeps who want to compete on the show.
To be filmed on what the Sun describes as “an exotic hideaway” the contestants will have to use all their skills and resourcefulness in a series of challenges spanning four rounds.
In pairs, the contestants will sent off into jungle-like areas to carry out their challenges, until just one couple walks away with the money from the Buried Treasure finale round…
Of the show, Alexander said, “Prize Island is inventive, funny, compelling, oh, and set on a tropical island with prizes!”
And Emma added, “I am beyond excited to be one of the presenters of Prize Island.
“It promises to be a show like no other where contestants win unbelievable prizes.”
Here’s what ITV say of the show…
A brand new huge and hilarious, action-filled game show.
Would you and a team mate like to jet off to a sun-kissed desert Island?
Can the two of you work together to win amazing prizes scattered across this exotic paradise?
Are you brave enough to take on a series of spectacular games to win the island’s hidden treasures?
We are looking for teams of two (couples/family/best friends) with a sense of adventure to take up the prize island challenge and enjoy the journey of a lifetime…
