Amanda Holden has admitted that she is still keen to land a role on ITV soap Coronation Street.

Back in April Holden first expressed an interest in the show saying: “I’d love to go into it as some kind of snooty southern bitch. Maybe go and buy The Kabin from under Rita’s nose and turn it into a beauty salon or something horrendous that they hate, so they oust me and I go back to London.”

Holden has now come up with another possible character/storyline which she could play out.

She told the Daily Star Sunday: “I have suggested I become an ex of Tony Gordon. I would have to play someone classy of course, but it’s my all-time favourite show.”
