American Horror Story: Coven Papa Legba

Things are really hotting up on next week’s episode of American Horror Story: Coven, and we mean quite literally.

Next week is the penultimate episode of the season *sob* and the witches’ powers are becoming more and more prominent and it seems like Queenie can now descend to hell…

Over the last couple of episodes, all the witches seem to have been developing new powers so up until now, we just don’t know who is the next supreme.

From what we can see on the trailer that has been released, Papa Legba is back and he states that time moves differently in hell. This is because Queenie demonstrates a new power to him – the fact that she can descend to hell and also return back.

Another exciting part of next week’s episode is that Misty Day returns after Madison shoved her into the coffin and she was pushed into a tomb, but how does she get out? It looks like it has something to do with Queenie.

Not only that, as the season is coming to an end, the next supreme has to be found and the only way that can be done is by participating in the seven wonders.

The Seven wonders consist of: Telekenisis, Transmutation and Pyrokinesis, according to the trailer.

Fiona tells the witches: “The seven wonders, magic so advanced, each pushes the boundaries. Perform them successfully and you’re the next supreme”.

Zoe will also return on next week’s episode to  seal her fate after she and Kyle ran away at the end of last night’s episode.

However, the question is: Will Fiona find the next supreme and murder her or will she enjoy her final days? As we already know, Fiona cannot live an eternal life as according to Papa Legba, she has no soul, so she is going to die if she doesn’t kill the next supreme, whoever it may be. Will Fiona come to terms with what is going to happen and die peacefully? I reckon Marie Laveau will have something to say about that as it seems she and Fiona are getting on well at the minute.

Fiona adds: “You will perform, or you will die trying”.

Toward the end of the trailer is a very interesting scene involving The Axeman, in which he screams “You will die for what you have done” and it looks like he’s set to plunge his axe into someone.

American Horror Story: Coven Fiona

The official synopsis states that “Cordelia has a nightmarish vision that puts the Coven’s future in question, while another vision leads her to confront the Axeman with the hard truth” – do the final scene of the promo video have something to do with Cordelia?

Who knows, but it looks like next week’s episode is going to be action-packed and as we approach the all important finale episode, things are really going to step up a gear. “Multiple acts of bloody vengeance are carried out” on next week’s episode, according to the synopsis. Shit gon’ go down in that Coven!

Check out the full synopsis below (and it makes for a very juicy read!):

A dying Fiona becomes even more desperate to find and destroy the new Supreme… but also wonders if she should give it up and just enjoy her final days. As the time approaches for the new Supreme to demonstrate the Seven Wonders, a dangerous ritual proving the Supreme’s ability to master seven magical powers, more than one of the remaining girls begin to manifest multiple new powers. But it’s Papa Legba who Queenie demonstrates her newest power to: the power to descend into Hell, and to return.

Cordelia has a nightmarish vision that puts the Coven’s future in question, while another vision leads her to confront the Axeman with a hard truth.

Meanwhile, Queenie confronts Madame LaLaurie, who has found a new sense of ghoulish purpose, and Zoe returns to claim her destiny. And more than one person must face the consequences their actions when multiple acts of bloody vengeance are carried out… one of which may bring about the rise of the new Supreme at last.
