An Audience Without… Jeremy Beadle

Jeremy Beadle

Jeremy Beadle may not be about any more, but his TV legacy as a king prankster will live forever.

To celebrate his work, ITV has announced An Audience Without… Jeremy Beadle – a showcase of the funnyman’s best work, set in front of a studio audience packed with Jeremy’s celebrity friends and TV admirers.

Hosted by Chris Tarrant, “An Audience Without Jeremy Beadle” will chart his impressive, but often controversial, career at LWT throughout the 80s and 90s when he made iconic shows such as Game For a Laugh and Beadle’s About. Chris Tarrant will be chatting with some of the stars and members of the general public who were at the receiving end of his pranks. Bradley Walsh, Joe Pasquale and Danny Baker will take part in a “Super Fan Quiz” and Anneka Rice will also present a film about Beadle’s extensive fund-raising and charity work. But just as Jeremy’s life wasn’t just about fun, the show will try and replicate his work by raising cash for Jeremy’s favourite charities.

With the chance to hear more about the man himself, watch some of his best work, and help in his wish to raise money for some very worthy causes, look out for An Audience Without… Jeremy Beadle on ITV1 in the Spring.

From today, April 1st, visitors to www.itv.com/beadle will be able to watch the ten funniest Beadle pranks ever – and vote for their favourite. When An Audience Without… Jeremy Beadle airs next month, the public’s top five clips will be revealed in the winning order. The production team behind the show are also looking for the people in the clips who were ‘Beadled’ by Jeremy.
