Ant and Dec have reportedly been banned from appearing on BBC’s Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.

The Sun has reported that the ban is part of a tit for tat row between ITV and BBC, after the Beeb banned Barbara Windsor from taking part in ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.’

An insider said: “Ant and Dec are livid. They really wanted to go on, have a laugh, plug their new book, talk about their new show and the next series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

“The BBC know an ITV show with Barbara would hurt them in the ratings so they’ve acted in this petulant way.”

Who would have known that grown adults, very rich grown adults, could act in such a childish way. I can just see the dummies hurtling out of the pram now.

I love Ant & Dec and it is a shame that they can’t appear with Jonathan Ross however, anything that keeps that horrid Barbarba Windsor off our TV screens is worth the sacrifice. Loved her in the Carry On films hate her in Eastenders. So much so that I haven’t watched an episode of Eastenders since she joined and I used to be proud of the fact that I’d never missed an episode since it started!

proud to never have missed an episode of Eastenders..sorry buts thats really funny! There is better TV than that you know….or maybe you dont!

  3. Babs says:

    Ooooooooh cheeky!… hahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

  4. ann says:

why would two talented guys like them want to go on his show anyway. They can always plug their book and with their fan base certainly do not need J.B’s show for that.
Apart from that it’s about time the two sides grew up after all they want to win viewers the way they play games especially the BBC they could actually lose them viewers.

  5. Michelle says:

Well, you know what I mean about not missing an episode of Eastenders. OMG there is far, far superior TV out there at the moment – CSI, Criminal Intent, Special Victims Unit, etc in fact anything that doesn’t have Barbara Windsor in it is regarded as superior in my books for a start!

Ant and Dec-the untalented juvenile midgets have been banned from the B.B.C.Could anyone tell me what these pair of wasters do for a living?Should they be out after nine o clock. Someone once said these two were going to be rumbled one day-in otherwards they are going to be caught out impersonating real talent
Unfortunately there seems to be no end to their shameless self publicity. The “cheeky chappies” have no fear of being rumbled since a stupid public think they have talent.
Anyway Im off to play solitaire since someone told me to do so via an e-mail
and look- theres the Queen of Diamonds!

Well now you all know why we have so much crapppppp!!!!!! on the tv its people like that who are in control of what we can view. Thank heavens for my dvd collection.

“Who would have known that grown adults, very rich grown adults, could act in such a childish way. I can just see the dummies hurtling out of the pram now”

But this decision, in essence, has nothing to do with Ant and Dec but by the top brass at the BBC/ITV.
If you think they are acting childish simply because they wanted to appear on the show, then I don’t understand where you’re coming from either as every celebrity would be similarly peeved had they had their application to appear on the show rejected. The writer of this piece would do better than to write down their own biased opinions.

  9. Ally says:

That is absolutely ridiculous!! Who would have thought that television would be so bloody petty!! At the end of the day the presenters in question have nothing to do with this feud its just the people in charge of both stations acting like a load of f**king brats who can’t get what they want for xmas!! Well guess what I want don’t get so grow up and stop making making your problems out to be those of other peoples!!

Toops, obviously I was talking about the BBC and ITV bosses…not Ant & Dec!!By the way this is my blog, used for expressing my opinions!

Since tv mainly became the home of DIY, cooking programmes, fly on the wall documentaries, and “watching paint dry soap operas” I gave up watching. So anything that reduces the content of any of these programmes is a bonus. Thank god for You Tube where I can watch the kind of programmes that used to be on, like When the Boat Comes In, Black Books, Fools and Horses and Steptoe and not be subjected to 2 idiots going under a limbo pole that was at least 4 foot off the ground (to riotous applause – Ant and Dec), or somebody masturbating for a candid camera (rather a sad attempt at fame – Big Brother).

  12. tessa says:

i think ant & Dec are the best presenters going, we need more ppl like these two and scrap ppl like J.Ross .

  13. KHOUSTELLO says:

tThe more of these tit for tats on t.v. the better, the less we will encounter of the no-talent wasters(for me the easiest word to type!).Note how people like Ross are always “plugging” his showbusiness chums. This vile clique run their business like freemasons.

  14. toops says:

Look Lisa ok I apologise for being harsh in my earlier reply, but as tesa rightly points out they are good presenters. Ok maybe not naturally gifted in their presenting techinques but they represent the ordinary folk who would otherwise have no inspiration or hope of even reaching the level they have. Ok they might not speak an RP dialect or even have been to university, but they are what the majority of people can relate to.
    Stop being such a ponce! :D x

  15. Strife says:

I’m only annoyed due to the fact that I pay a TV license for good TV and now the BBC are halting that with this farce.

Either way though i don’t actually watch any “home made” BBC or ITV shows as i see they’re pathetically written and created.

  16. Lisa McGarry says:

Yes but I also LOVE An and Dc and in no way criticised them in my above post. Ponce???? When?

  17. Natalie says:

TeeeHeee ^^^^^^ lol, you go girl! ;o)

  18. John says:

Who really cares…..?? Ant and Dec have been over hyped for years.. I genuinly would not care if i never saw then again..

If we could lose them, along with all this ridiculous reality tv and the £ factor, oh sorry, i meant X factor, Tv would be a much better thing..

Now im not an old fart, not boring, i love my tv… But when things like that are on, i can actually feel my IQ slipping away..

PLEASE anyone at the BBC or ITV, PLEASE give us some good programs, heaven knows we pay enough in license fee’s..
