Arrested Development: Executive Producer Brian Grazer “in conversations with” Netflix about fifth season

A lot of speculation has been surrounding Netflix and Arrested Development as of late in regards to new about a fifth season and fans will be glad to know that there may well be more Arrested Development to come.

Executive Producer, Briqn Grazer has said that he is currently in talks with the online streaming giant regarding a possible fifth season of the revived comedy.

Speaking to Bloomberg Television, Grazer said: “We are in conversations with them [Netflix] to do another. They are interested in doing that”.

At present, there has been no official word from Netflix, however, back in May CEO of the streaming service Reed Hastings said that he is more than willing to have another season of Arrested Development on Netflix.

Not only that, the CEO went on to reveal that the launch of season 4 has “been huge, just as we hoped”.

Executive Producer and creator Mutch Hurwitz has also said he is “game” to do a fifth season of the revived sitcom. So, it seems there is a lot of backing for a fifth season, it’s just down to Netflix to agree to sink money into the show.

Jason Bateman who stars in Arrested Development has said that there’s more stories to tell from the Bluth family.

“Mitch Hurwitz’s intention always was to do a movie and when he started to write the movie script, the story that he wanted to tell was too long and too big to fit in a standard movie script,” the actor explained. “So he decided to take the first act of that movie and put it these episodes. Acts two or three will either be in a movie or a longer form on Netflix.”

All 15 episodes of the fourth season are available to view on Netflix now.
