Una Stubbs has joined the cast of ITV1 comedy Benidorm, according to The Mirror.

The 72-year-old apparently arrived on the Spanish set last week to begin filming her role as Martin’s snooty mum.

“Her son loves the fun and brashness of Benidorm, but his mum is a totally different person,” a source said.

“She refuses to stay at the Hotel Metropolis, where the likes of Geoff Maltby (Johnny Vegas) and Madge Barron (Sheila Reid) stay. She ends up in an exclusive luxury hotel which overlooks the sprawl and skyscrapers where the package holidaymakers stay.”

I know Una has starred in many shows, including Fawlty Towers, but to me she will always be Aunt Sally. Watch Una in Worzel Gummidge below…..
