Piranhas have a reputation as the most ferocious fish in the world. With razor sharp teeth, they hunt in packs, stripping a body of its flesh in minutes. In this programme, the first of a new series, biologist and extreme angler Jeremy Wade examines whether piranhas deserve the reputation they’ve gained as one of the biggest terrors in the water.
Nadya Suleman became the focus of the world’s media when she gave birth to eight children in January 2009, who have since gone on to be the only octuplets to survive for as long as they have. She provoked a huge backlash when it emerged that she was a single mother who conceived the octuplets following IVF procedures, despite already having six children. This film tells the inside story of what life is like for an unemployed parent, with 14 demanding children under the age of eight, who faces the constant presence of dedicated paparazzi as well as ceaseless scrutiny by both the press and public.

Ruth was keen to turn Cothay into a professional enterprise, but met with resistance from Mary-Anne. Did they work together to transform Cothay into a sculpture park, in time for a special garden party?
Detective Inspector John Tolin (Douglas Henshall) returns to work after an extended period of leave following the tragic death of his wife. Tolin is a damaged man, but he’s anxious to move on and get back to work.
His first case is an investigation into multiple pile up on the A12 – not normally a matter for their department but this case is different.

David Tennant has signed on to host a Doctor Who themed Christmas special of Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
The Sun reports that the outgoing Doctor will present the show on December 16th with guests including Catherine Tate and Bernard Cribbins.
