Fringe could run for six seasons

Jeff Pinkner, executive producer of Fringe has revealed that the sci-fi show could run for six seasons.

During a conference with reporters, Pinkner admitted that producers are “only limited by our own imaginations”.

“If we’re lucky enough, we have six seasons that we’re really excited about,” he said. “It’s such a great show to work on, because we’re only limited by our own imaginations.

ABC take Flashforward into six day hiatus

ABC has reportedly suspended production on FlashForward.

The Hollywood Reporter states that the show will take a six-day hiatus but will hopefully resume filming next week,

A rep for the network is quoted as saying: “They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so.”

Paul O’Grady cries during Buster memorial show

Paul O’Grady lost his beloved dog Buster last week. The fourteen year old dog was put to sleep after battling cancer for many months.

On Paul’s Channel 4 chat show last night, he broke down in tears as he introduced a montage of clips of Buster’s TV career. He said: “Wherever you are kid, you are gone but not forgotten!”

Gary Barlow and Duncan James For Eurovision Song Contest 2010

Take That star Gary Barlow is reportedly in talks with the BBC about writing the song for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Duncan James is tipped to perform the track and an insider told The Sun: “The BBC is now hoping that someone like Gary with his great pop writing skills can help the UK go all the way.”

CAST OFFS launches on Channel 4

A darkly comic drama series telling the story of six disabled characters sent to a remote British island for a fictional reality TV show. Six months in a wheelchair, Dan is sweet, slightly naive and liable to have his pants nicked and stuffed into a postbox. Or at least he is when he’s playing with the local wheelchair basketball team. Dan arrives on the island and meets the other Cast Offs for the first time, including Carrie (Kiruna Stamell), who is three feet tall, but has an ego the size of a small country, and seems to be able to read Dan’s mind. This is going to be quite some ride… The second part airs on Wednesday night.

This hour-long special follows the work of doctors and nurses at the UK’s only Hospital for Tropical Diseases as they tackle everything from blood-sucking pests to burrowing insects and parasitic worms.

With exclusive behind-the-scenes access the film follows Professor Peter Chiodini and his colleagues as they treat patients, some with near fatal diseases including malaria, and infestations of bugs living under the skin.

Lily Allen’s manager almost turned down Neighbours appearance

Singer Lily Allen has admitted that she almost missed out on the chance to star on Australian soap, Neighbours.

Speaking to WENN about guesting on the show, Lily revealed: “It was really weird but poor Todd, my manager, always has to… pass on things. People will send him requests and… he runs them pass me… every couple of weeks.”
