Barbara Windsor is reportedly furious with the BBC after she was denied an invite to this weeks BAFTA ceremony.

Other cast members were also said to be angry at also being snubbed, as only those who appeared in the Christmas episode were said to be invited.

A show insider told The Sun: “Of course, all the cast in the Christmas episodes were going to be invited.

“But Barbara wasn’t so happy - and rightfully so - because she’s the matriarch of the show.”

Samantha Janus only attended the event after being invited by a friend.

A spokesman for the soap said: “The BBC had a restricted number of tickets.”
