Eastenders actress Barbara Windsor has stepped in to act as a mediator between her former co-stars Rickey Groves and Hannah Waterman.

The pair, who had been married for three years, split on New Years Eve and relations have reportedly gotten nasty ever since.

A source close to Ricky told The Sun: “Babs has taken on the role of mediator because things were getting a bit nasty.

“Hannah has arranged a meeting with Ricky next week with help from Babs at one of their pal’s houses to thrash out a deal.”

The pal added that Babs had tried in vain to get Hannah to reconsider her decision in vain.

The source revealed: “She’s been trying everything to save their marriage but Hannah is stubborn about it.

“It’s over. Hannah has been seeing a lawyer about getting a quickie divorce.”
