BBC Axes The Invisibles
BBC have revealed that The Invisibles has been axed after just one series.
The shoiw centred around Maurice Riley (Anthony Head) and Syd Woolsey (Warren Clarke), a pair of old friends who return from the good life on the Costa del Crime to a quiet Devon fishing village. The series began strongly last May with 4.7 million viewers. Thus figure had dropped to 3 million by the end of the six-part series.
A BBC spokesman told The Mirror: “In spite of a great cast and production team, The Invisibles didn’t find its audience. We remain very proud of it but it won’t be returning.”
