BBC bosses will air Amanda Holden’s new drama six months early after being impressed with the first few episodes of the show.

The sitcom, which stars Holden as ring mistress in a failing circus, starts on BBC1 later this month. However according to The Sun filming just wrapped ten days ago.

Amanda said: “They’re racing to get it finished so it can air in the next two weeks. It’s very exciting.”

Big Top also stars Blackadder legend Tony Robinson, former EastEnders actress Sophie Thompson and Cold Feet actor John Thomson.

Talking about filming the show, Amanda added: “We had so much fun.”
