Beaver Falls lined-up to ‘replace’ Inbetweeners on E4
New E4 comedy ‘Beaver Falls’ is reportedly being lined-up to fill the void left by hit show The Inbetweeners, though fans of that still have the movie to look forward to this summer.
And though the main protagonists in Beaver Falls – who all play British graduates working at a US summer camp – are relatively unknown actors, they have all had roles on major TV shows or in films before…
Samuel Robertson will play the role of Flynn on Beaver Falls, and he’s previously appeared in Coronation Street as one of the Adam Barlows. There’ve been a few!
His co-star Arsher Ali, who plays A-Rab, starred in Four Lions as a terrorist, and finally, John Dagleish, who plays Barry, was Alf Arless in Lark Rise To Candleford…
But getting back to the point that Beaver Falls is intended to fill the gap in E4’s comedy market that Inbetweeners leaves behind, Camilla Campbell, Channel 4’s Head of Drama, has previously said of Falls, “Channel 4′s increased investment in new drama will arrive on screen in Summer 2011 with two brand new series, Naked Apes and Beaver Falls, on C4 and E4 respectively.
“Irreverent and provocative comedy drama, both are set to launch a host of new and emerging talent and characters.
We hope viewers will love them as much as we do.”
Well, I’m certainly looking forward to it, because juding by this clip, it’s got all the ingredients for top notch entertainment!
