Bobby Davro Depressed Before Joining Eastenders

Eastenders LogoComedian and actor Bobby Davro has revealed that he was suffering from depression before being offered a role in BBC soap opera, eastenders.

Bobby told the News Of The World that he had spiralled into a four year long depression after splitting with his wife Trudi. But he credits Barbara Windsor and her husband for helping him get the new acting role, and bringing him back onto our TV screens.

“I owe her a big slap-up dinner because she helped get me the role. Barbara and her husband Scott saw me in pantomime in January and afterwards she told me, ‘You’d be wonderful in a soap’.

“They put in a good word for me with the BBC. I did a reading and got the part - the feeling was fantastic. Trudi was thrilled for me and so were our kids.”
