Finally, after a lot of waiting the title and the cast for the new James Bond film have been announced at a special live event at Pinewood Studios this morning.
A live stream was made available online for those not able to attend the press-only event where we learned that the new movie would be known as ‘Spectre’.
As always, it’s not James Bond without his fancy Aston Martin car and that was the first new cast member to be announced.
Shown below, we watched as the cleanest car in the country was unveiled to the world but the secrets of what it could actually do were kept under cover.
That was the only non-human cast announcement to be made and then it was onto the announcement we had all been waiting for.
There were of course a few returning faces including 007 himself Mr Daniel Craig, Rory Kinnear as Tanner and Ben Whishaw as Q.
Also returning to ‘Spectre’ will be Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M but it was the new cast members that we were all eagerly awaiting to hear about.
Of course it was already confirmed that Sherlock star Andrew Scott would be coming to James Bond as Denbigh – a Bond villain.
It was also confirmed that wrestler and actor, one of the stars of ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ David Bautista would be joining the cast as Mr Hinx.
Monica Bellucci will star as Lucia Sciarra, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann and Christoph Waltz will star as Oberhauser in the movie which is due to be released on the 6th of November 2015.
The movie will begin shooting on Monday and will be filmed in Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier & Erfoud, Morocco, Sölden, Obertilliach and Lake Altausee, Austria.
Sam Mendes also confirmed that two new off-camera members will be joining the crew, including Director of Photography Hoyte Van Hottema, and Editor Lee Smith.
