This December sees Virgin 1, Virgin Media Television’s recently launched entertainment channel exclusively air Boob Envy. Part of the popular ‘Envy’ strand, Boob Envy is an hour long documentary presented by Thalia Zucci (Star Stories, Balls of Steel), that will unearth and explore some of the biggest issues surrounding a topic of massive interest both sexes in the UK today – boobs.

From the big, small, lopsided to downright saggy, Boob Envy will find out why the nation’s breast obsession is greater than ever before and what size and shape most women aspire to. With research showing that 75% of women are unhappy about their proportions, this documentary has plenty to reveal and will not only give the average woman’s confidence a boost but set the record straight.

We follow four ordinary women who each have very different stories to tell but all share the same problem – they are not happy with their boobs.

Vicki Clarke, a young 22year old Liverpudlian describes her 32A chest as ‘minute and non-existent’. A common problem with many females, Vicki explains how being such a small size affects her and why she so desperately wants a boob job.

Gemma Gurvitz on the other hand has the opposite problem, being a 38F at only 20 years old her breasts are always the centre of attention no matter what she wears. Having large breasts can be an issue for women of her size. For her the grass is most definatley not greener on the other side.

For Maxine Page however these two stories are trivial compared to her own breast issues. Maxine, 29, has lopsided breasts, which consists of one B cup and one D cup. Boob Envy looks into what life is like for Maxine, who has to wear padded bras constantly and rarely wears anything but black because she feels her lopsided breasts are too evident in clothing. However, Maxine has now learnt to accept her breasts, although she would jump at the chance of having an equal pair of size Ds. Boob Envy follows Maxine as she proceeds with hypnotherapy treatment in the hope of balancing them out.

For 24 year old Jodie Gray, she had the perfect breasts growing up but when she had her daughter at the age of seventeen that all changed. Whilst pregnant she was very happy with her 34/36 DD chest but now, after childbirth she is back to a size 8, 34B and describes her now saggy boobs as ‘empty’. Boob Envy follows Jodie as she goes for her Hydradermie breast lifting and firming treatment.

Promising to be a show not to miss, Boob Envy will look into the various thought-provoking and drastic measures that both sexes are prepared to go to in order to get the best breasts, including breast enhancement for women, and male breast surgery for the men that want to obtain the perfect pecks.
