A unique decade-long television project, Born to Be Different provides a frank and intimate portrait of what it’s like to be a child growing up with a disability. Since they were born nine years ago, Channel 4 has been following the lives of six children. This fourth series follows them over the last two years as they turn eight and nine. With remarkably intimate access to these families, Born to Be Different tells the story of the joys and heartaches of six very different childhoods and celebrates the lives of children who must endure challenges most of us will never have to face.
