Brat Camp returns with a new focus: the mothers. They are all very different kinds of mothers, but whether they are career mums, hippy mums, single mums or traditional mums they all share one thing in common, their daughters are totally out-of-control brats. Somewhere along the way it has all gone horribly wrong, and now the warring duos find themselves at the last chance saloon, better known as Brat Camp .
Desperate to repair their floundering relationships, four mothers and their tearaway daughters have all agreed to be dropped in the Arizona desert for a bout of intense wilderness therapy. The objective is to get the daughters back on the straight and narrow, but will the mothers learn that they too need to reform? Tonight’s episode sees foul-mouthed Nicole Pear and her exasperated mother Jackie try to repair their damaged relationship.

Nicole was amazing, she worked really hard and made huge progress. Shame the same can’t be said of her mum who didn’t change or make an effort at all.
Nicole is a very intelligent girl and knows exactly what’s going wrong with the relationship and is doing her best to work things out, but her mum is the one who needs to do the work now, Nicole can’t do it all on her own.
I’m a 44 year old mum and it made me angry to see that all the blame was put on Nicole. If her mother allowed things to progress at a pace Nicole is comfortable with rather than demanding too much all the time, then things might stand a chance - Nicole seems to understand this, so why can’t her mother. I was also angry that the camp facilitators didn’t see what was going on.
I would hate to see Nicole’s efforts and achievements go to waste because her mother is oblivious to the damage her own behaviour does to their relationship. I hope Nicole carries on working on the problem, for her own sake as preparation for when she leaves home and makes a life for herself. She’s a great girl with huge potential.
