BREAKING NEWS: Paedophile Gary Glitter aka Paul Gadd HAS been arrested as part of Jimmy Savile inquiry, Operation Yewtree!
Convicted paeodphile Gary Glitter – who real name is Paul Gadd – has been arrested in London in connection with police inquiries into allegations of child sex abuse which have arisen amid the Sir Jimmy Savile scandal.
And just this morning, we reported that a friend of TV presenter Denise Van Outen – who’s currently taking part in Strictly Come Dancing – claimed that Gadd had “groomed” Denise for abuse when she was a teenager.
Of Gadd’s arrest, a Scotland Yard spokesman said, “Officers working on Operation Yewtree have today arrested a man in his 60s in connection with the investigation.
“The man, from London, was arrested at approximately 7.15am on suspicion of sexual offences, and has been taken into custody at a London police station…
“The individual falls under the strand of the investigation we have termed ‘Savile and others’.”
Gadd was jailed for four months in the UK in 1999 for possession of child pornography. He was later jailed for child sex offences in Vietnam.
MSN adds, “Scotland Yard did not say what led to his arrest, and Glitter was filmed leaving his home, wearing a hat and dark coat and gloves, and being driven away.”
Meanwhile, in the Mail today, the chairman of the BBC Trust, Lord Patten, has said he’s “dedicated to finding out the truth” about the alleged child sex scandal at the corporation, vowing that there will be “no covering our backs.”

Savile and Glitter are just the icing on the cake – the ‘cherry’ is almost outed but not named as yet. Apparently “he is a household name and still working for the BBC”.
No lame excuses, and the book should be thrown at them aside from Savile who has met his maker already and, the pity being he wasn’t named and jailed back in the 80′s but the cover-up protected him.
How could the police and members of the BBC have ignored victims – was it due to Savile’s connections with the Royal family? At least his (Saviles’) family did the decent thing and apologised despite the fact they too were ignorant of his vile acts’. The ‘main’ cherry will soon be named, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there are several more big names involved. Jail the whole lot of them without a minimum tariff.
