BRIT Awards 2014: Beyonce looks STUNNING as she performs XO for the first time!

BEYONCE HAS JUST PERFORMED AT THE BRIT AWARDS! Stop what you’re doing, absorb what has just happened… and breathe!

Yes, Queen Bey has just taken to the stage at the 2014 BRIT awards and giving us THE best performance… ever!

It has been rumoured over the past couple of months that Beyonce would perform at the BRIT awards this year after show bosses tried to secure her last year, but it feel through.

However, Bey kicks off her Mrs Carter Show 2014 World Tour tomorrow evening in the UK and it’d only make sense for her to perform whilst she’s here?

Whether he was supposed to or not, host of the show James Corden announced the news earlier today during an interview with Zoe Ball on BBC Radio Two.

It has been rumoured that the bosses secured her this year, she pulled out but then opted back in – whether that’s true or not, I don’t know… and I don’t care either.

Bey performed XO this evening, which is a song from her self-titled fifth studio, but what makes it special is that we have never seen or heard her perform it live in the past on television.

Queen B honestly looked STUNNING in a long, figure-hugging, blue sparkly dress as she stood behind a screen for the first part of the song after dedicating the performance to her fans. The production was very stripped down to what we’re used to seeing from B herself, but she shows that she doesn’t need a massive production to impress.

The performance was absolutely spectacular and we loved every minute of it.. we’re also glad that B decided to perform in the end.

The last time Beyonce performed at the BRIT awards was back in 2004 when she performed her hit single, Crazy in Love.

Unfortunately, Beyonce isn’t nominated for any of the awards this evening, so she will indeed be walking away empty handed, unfortunately. Even so, she’s kicking off the new tour, right here in the UK tomorrow evening!

Whilst we don’t have a video of B’s performance quite yet (since it’s live and everything), relive her performance of Crazy In Love at the BRITs back in 2004, below:
