The BRIT Awards 2014 are only a month away and it seems like Katy Perry, Arctic Monkeys and Bruno Mars aren’t enough in terms of big name performers.

According to a report from a newspaper the bosses behind the annual awards ceremony are trying to get global superstar Beyoncé on board to perform at the live show.

London’s O2 Arena will play host to the BRIT Awards 2014 and James Corden will host the ceremony for what is being touted as his last time.

Not only will Katy Perry, Arctic Monkeys and Bruno Mars perform but Bastille and Rudimental are also set to grace the stage.

The Sun newspaper however is adding that Beyoncé could be set to perform at the ceremony after she pulled out of last years awards because her new material wasn’t ready.

The superstar however has just released her new album and is set to begin her UK tour the night after the BRIT Awards which is held on February 19th.

This would obviously make sense because then Beyoncé is literally where she needs to be to kick off her tour which promotes her fifth studio album.

Beyoncé last performed at the BRIT Awards 10 years ago where she performed ‘Crazy In Love’ which was her debut solo single away from Destiny’s Child.

On Friday the 13th of December 2013 Beyoncé shocked the world when she released her fifth studio album without any prior announcement or marketing.

The album has sold incredibly well and is currently going head to head with Ellie Goulding’s ‘Halcyon’ in the UK Official Albums Chart despite hovering around the top 5 since its release.

According to the Official Charts Company as of yesterday there were a mere 700 copies between both albums making it incredibly close going into Sunday.

Tonight (9th January) on ITV 1 Nick Grimshaw will host ‘The Brits Are Coming’ where among various performances we’ll also find out who has been nominated for what.

Whether or not Beyoncé will perform at the BRIT Awards 2014 – we’ll just need to wait and see but in the meantime let’s take a look at the last time the singer performed.
