Britain is the angriest nation in Europe
It’s official, Britain is the angriest nation in Europe, with grumpy Brits topping the polls as being the most hot-headed, irrational and impatient nation in Europe. Ever been queue jumped whilst waiting for your morning coffee? Or been stuck in traffic and found yourself becoming increasingly irate? Well fear not, you’re not alone! In fact it’s reported that Brits get angry, on average, up to four times a day compared to a laid-back 0.2 times from Scandinavians.
The poll picks out the top ten reasons that make Britain the rash and impetuous nation that is, with queue jumpers being at the top with a whopping 48% and traffic jams and delays coming a close second with 43%.
This poll was commissioned by G.O.L.D to celebrate the Fawlty Towers exclusives airing on the channel.
Paul Moreton, G.O.L.D.’s channel head says: “Since Basil Fawlty is famous for his losing his rag and beating his car with a branch, we thought it would be interesting to see how angry Brits compare to the rest of Europe. We can all relate to a Basil Fawlty type character, but there’s also something quite endearing about Basil. After all, he is quintessentially British!”
With all the controversy surrounding MP’s and expenditures at the moment and the subsequent angry reactions we thought that this would be a very current and relevant story to run. Especailyl since the poll also revealed that there is a universal hatred of lying politicians!
Fawlty Exclusive: Basil’s Best Bits, will air exclusively on G.O.L.D. on 17th May at 9pm. For more information go to www.golaughdaily.co.uk.
