Britainnia High Axed!
ITV1 teen musical drama, Britannia High has been cancelled after just one series.
“We thought Britannia High would be an all-singing, all-dancing success – especially having the top names in dance and music on board,” a source told The Sun.
“Sadly, the stories of these youngsters vying for their dreams didn’t seem to capture viewers’ imagination.
“The credit crunch is affecting everything, not least TV. A second series of Britannia High was just not viable.”
However it isn’t all bad as ITV managed to sell the show to countries all over the world and so can hope to recoup some of the £2 million which it cost to make.

many ppl who watched it did so because they wanted to see mitch (since they were mitch fans from when he was in skins…) and britannia high is nothing compared to skins.
i think britannia high was appealing to a much younger audience, but just not good enough i guess. and thats why they axed it.

everyone i knew who watched it loved it because it reached out to our age group!
it was brilliant and there were plenty of viewers not just a few like the press is making it out to be.
please just make a second series cause everonee seemed to love it!!

OMG you cannot cancel britannia high for the whole series me and ma friends lived and breathed it. Tt was amasing and the dancing was top class.

Britannia High? Finished? Hell NO!! Britannia high is my favorite programme, it cannot be finished, if it is i will do something about it. I will get at least 5o signitures and send them to the Britannia High team and the ITV team! And that show will be kept n the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved it !!! I want to see another series of Britannia High, i loved seeing Jez in the song ” proud” this song i’m playing it on my CD most of the time… i would like to see the whole cast again…
please reconsider keeping this show running…
i loved the songs ‘im very fun of Gary Barlow since he was a member of Take That til now he still brings the best of the music … i would like to listen for new songs for BH

My daughters and I loved this series and hope very much that they decide to make more series.
My youngest daughter has the first DVD and the CD and it is the quality of the songs that make this series stand out. I listen to the CD myself just because I like the songs.
We couldn’t wait for each weeks episode and will be very disappointed if it doesn’t come back.
I can’t believe its been cancelled. I loved everything about the show. The music videos were amazing and looked so cool and stylish. The colours and interesting sets were great too! Sad time for TV originality!
Look im not being funny yeah but Brittaniah High is NOT being axed it is a wonderfull show and the people who are making up these rumours are just making them up because there bored of there lame lives! Brittaniah high is a good show and i would now that beceause i am 12 years of age and i love brittaniah high MORE than High School musical! Iv got everything about it posters cd tracks dvds and loads loads more but if you think for one second that brittaniah high is stupid then youv never lived,,, thank you all for reading !!!!!!
