Britain’s Bravest Coming To Five
Britain’s Bravest retells the incredible stories of real emergencies, rescues and bravery using powerful testimonies from all those involved and dramatic reconstruction of the events.
This ten-part series, presented by Dermot Murnaghan in January 2008, will make use of all available archive footage from the emergency services videos and recordings, CCTV images and user generated footage to enhance the story telling of the rescuers and the survivors in each episode.
Each episode will feature at least three stories. Two will focus on extraordinary rescues which have tested the skills of the emergency services to the limit and one will involve a member of the public performing an act of bravery.
Confirmed stories so far in the series include; the Birkenhead tunnel crash in 2006, the Buncefield oil explosion in 2005 and most recently the severe flooding at R.A.F Gloucester in June this year.
