Britannia High’s Low Ratings

Britannia High looks like it’s going to be a flop as viewing figures are down by 1.6 million viewers.

The third episode of the show averaged just 2.5 million viewers, which is significantly down on the 4.1 million viewers it recorded after Lewis Hamilton’s F1 win last week, and the recent viewing figures are even down even on the show’s 3.3m debut figures.

Meanwhile, BBC1’s Antiques Roadshow averaged 8.6 million viewers and the Strictly Come Dancing results show managed 8.7 million on average with a peak of over 9.6 million.

BBC2’s Top Gear averaged a respectable 6.8 million viewers between 8 and 9pm and were significantly ahead of ITV1’s Heartbeat, which was watched by 5.3 million viewers over the same time period.

So will the first series of Britannia High be the last? Is it suffering because of it’s time slot? What do you think of it?
