Bruno Mars comments on his Super Bowl performance this weekend

Bruno Mars Super Time

It’s Super Bowl weekend and while most watch for the sport, many will tune in to see the half time show which this year will feature Bruno Mars.

Last year the half time show featured Beyoncé which also saw a reunion of Destiny’s Child even if for one night and was one of the biggest half time performances the Super Bowl has seen. So much so that they had a power cut afterwards.

Bruno Mars has spoken about his performance which will take place this Sunday (February 2nd) live from the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.

If you’re interested the actual game will see The Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos go up against each other and Bruno Mars will take to the stage at the half time show which always attracts millions worldwide.

Commenting on the performance Mars said: “No matter where I perform, it’s my job to uplift the people – whether I’m performing at a graduation party, wedding, bar mitzvah, Grammys, Super Bowl, I’m gonna give it all I got.”

“I don’t trapeze and all that stuff. I hope to get people dancing and get people smiling. if you ever come to my shows, it’s just us up there with these songs and our instruments. I hope that’s enough.”

The ‘Treasure’ star has also picked Red Hot Chilli Peppers to also play the show with him.

He said: “They’re a soulful band – and not just musically, but as people. I sat down with Flea, and he’s so passionate about music. Even to this day, doing it for so long, he’s still so passionate about creating music and performing.”

“I want to surround myself with guys like that forever, and it’s an honour to share the stage with them. They’re one of my personal favourite bands of all time.”

I’ve only ever seen or heard the kid once, on SNL when he hosted.. He left me ‘impressed’ (relative to his most his peers/contemporaries in modern music). Seemed like a pro, a true entertainer surrounded by real entertainers’. I’m thinking a Much better choice for the ‘big show’ than a Madonna or Lady Ga Ga. Good on him, I normally hate half time, this time I am looking forward to it. He is no Bieber. This is a dedicated musician with chops. A ‘professional’.
