You might remember a few weeks back when the news broke that Ben Affleck would be taking over from Christian Bale as the next Batman.
The internet crumbled, hashtags surfaced and a fake trailer even appeared on the internet. Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston was even rumoured as taking the role as Lex Luthor in the upcoming ‘Man of Steel 2’ movie.
Bryan Cranston who currently plays the lead role in AMC’s Breaking Bad has been the focus of many rumours regarding Lex Luthor however it appears that Cranston may have just put those rumours to bed.
The star, speaking to The Boston Globe who after Breaking Bad looks set to take on the role of President Lyndon B. Johnson in the American theatre production of ‘All The Way’ has said that people may be getting ahead of themselves.
When asked about the rumour that he had signed a six-picture deal with Warner Bryan Cranston replied: “This is all news to me,”
“I think that maybe my name is bandied about because I’m known to be bald.”
“What bald guy can we get?’” continued Cranston. “The reality is they can take any actor and shave his head or put a bald cap on him.”
The Breaking Bad star went on to talk about what he might do once the hit AMC show is over and done with.
“I think I’ll relax the rest of the year,” says the star. “There’s some irons in the fire, things that people are talking about, but nothing is set.”
So it appears that after all the speculation and rumours floating about, Bryan Cranston will definitely not be taking on the role as Lex Luthor.
