The musicians have all been awarded the records for their various contributions to music including best selling albums, fastest selling songs and for Scottish DJ Calvin Harris he overtakes the late Michael Jackson with one record.

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris is the first on our list of people to have been awarded the prestigious Guinness World Record certificate. The star who was recently announced as the highest earning DJ of the past 12 months now has another award to add to his name.

Taking the title from the late Michael Jackson, Calvin Harris takes the title of ‘most top 10 hits on the UK singles chart from one album’ with ’18 Months’.

’18 Months’ which was released in October 2012 has had nine top ten hits since its release including ‘I Need Your Love’, ‘Sweet Nothing’ and ‘Bounce’.

The album has managed to beat Michael Jacksons 1987 release ‘Bad’ and 1991 best-seller ‘Dangerous’ which both managed to release seven top ten hits in the Official Singles Chart in the UK.

Taylor Swift is another addition to this years Guinness World Records book who receives two entries this year.

The star who released ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ in August 13 2012 was taken from her fourth studio album ‘Red’ has taken the title for the fastest-selling digital single.

The track reached Number (1) in the charts a staggering 50 minutes after it was released.

Since the US album chart began tracking sales in 1991 Taylor has also been named the first solo female artist with two million-selling weeks on the chart.

Those One Direction are still breaking hearts and now even more records as they’ve managed to take the award for a highest debut by a UK group on the US singles chart with their track ‘Live While We’re Young’ which debuted at Number (3) on the US singles chart back in October 2012.
