Former Countdown brainiac Carol Vorderman has revealed that she will be writing a book about her experiences on the Channel 4 quiz show.

Carol will reveal all about the circumstances leading up to her departure from the show and the demand that she take a 90% pay cut or leave.

Carol told The Sun:

“I’ve never considered writing my autobiography before, probably because, by the yardstick of today, I am a very private person.

“But from the moment the publishers came to meet me to discuss the possibility of a book, I realised that there is so much to say that people don’t know about and certainly won’t be expecting.

“And with the Countdown debacle marking the end of one chapter in my life, I’ve decided to bite the bullet, big time. They are stories which have not been heard before, as I am, by nature, a secret keeper.”
