We all know that Richard Castle is one of the biggest geeks around and that’s why we love him. However, in tonight’s installment of Castle while Richard may not know the victim, he shares a connection to the NYPD’s latest case.

A new sneak peek has also been released ahead of tonight’s episode and it looks like it’s going to be another one of those crazy Castle episodes that live long in our memories!

So for all you need to know ahead of ‘Last Action Hero’ head on inside…

In tonight’s episode, the NYPD’s latest case will see them investigate the murder of the star of Richard’s favorite 80’s film. Through this, Richard and Kate delve into the victim’s mysterious past.

However, that is not all as they pursue the killer they will be assisted by a team of ‘aging action heroes’. Yes really. Ted McGinley is also set to guest star as Brock Harmon and will be married to Krista Allen’s character Naomi Duvray, who is described by TVLine as a former silver screen siren!

In the latest sneak peek released by ABC, Richard is traveling with the heroes and in a moment which was hilarious and will make Caskett fans happy in equal measure, he claims that if he does this ‘his wife will kill him!’. As he proceeds to be mocked by the others, the ending sees them all walking away from a blaze. Basically, this whole sneak peek has left us NEEDING to see the full version.

Tonight’s episode was written by Christine Roum and directed by Paul Holahan and it will see Castle visit a more lighter story after last week’s dramatic episode, which saw Esposito taken hostage on a subway train.
