Tonightly is a brand new comedy entertainment show featuring Jason Manford and a variety of new comic performers, providing a daily dose of satirical news, comment and all round silliness. Running for 16 weeknights, it promises to be a landmark event in the channel’s Generation Next season. Joined in the studio by Andi Osho, and a range of new faces, Jason will wrap up the day’s news and events.
Guests such as consumer conspiracy theorist Steve Lipschitz, teenage telly addict Ollie, investigative reporter Jack Whitehall and the only MP left in Parliament during summer recess Sir Ian Bowler, will all be on hand to present a unique take on the events of the day.
Presented by Angus Deayton and featuring team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack, Would I Lie To You? presents a profusion of unbelievable truths and believable lies. All the teams have to do is dupe each other into believing that what’s false is true and what’s true is not.
This week presenter Michael Aspel and comedian Dara O’Briain join David’s camp to compete head-to-head with Big Brother host Davina Mc Call and funnyman Jason Manford on Lee’s team. Read more & comment »
Hollyoaks actress, Sarah Jayne Dunn, has revealed that she is glad that her return to the Channel 4 soap has been made so easy by the rest of the cast members.
Sarah told Hot TV magazine: “The cast has changed a bit but the lovely thing is most of the crew are the same. I felt a bit like the new girl on the first day but within an hour it was as if I’d been there ages.”
She added:
“I actually asked to come back. It seemed the right time for my character,” Sarah continued. “Mandy came back for Max’s wedding and stayed for his funeral, but I wanted to return and re-establish the character rather than just dip in and out. I’ve worked quite a lot since and can bring that experience to Mandy, who has changed a lot. Read more & comment »

In fact she was so wooden and stilted that I channel hopped and gave up on the show altogether. However, I do love David Baddiel and the clip below does look like a bit of fun, so I might give the show another chance this Friday night.

US Comedy ‘Scrubs’ is about to return for its eighth series. It may return for a ninth, but according to Variety magazine, star of the show Zach Braff, certainly won’t.
Braff revealed that he would most likely return as a guest star if the show continues on into a ninth season. He also hinted that he would like to direct a few of those future episodes. Showrunner Bill Lawrence stated, “The end of the show will be about J.D. leaving the hospital. When you leave, it’s about holding on to your relationships.”
Asked how long he thought the series would continue, Lawrence joked, “You can’t kill this show. Next year we’ll be on CBS.” Most of the eighth season is already in the can, and will air sometime early next year.
