Russell Brand has seemingly cracked America as it is announced that he has landed a £1 million gig presenting the MTV Awards.
Russell came to the attention of Hollywood in his recent movie ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’, so much so that he has already landed a role in the sequel. He was also named one of the top 10 comics to watch in Variety magazine.

Peaches Geldof is reportedly facing the chop from her presenting job on ITV2’s iTunes festival.
Peaches was caught up in a drugs overdose scandal earlier this week, when an ambulance was summoned and emergency cpr administered after she was found unresponsive in her London apartment.

Former Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, is to stand in for Judy Finnegan this month as she takes time off for knee surgery.
Bunton will act as co-host on Richard and Judy’s Channel 4 chat show until next Tuesday according to the Press Association.

US TV network NBC have announced that Jay Leno will host his last Tonight Show in May 2009.
Jay will present his last show on the 29th of May and his replacement, Conan O’Brien will take over on the 1st of June.
“We’re still talking to Jay about staying within NBC Universal,” said Marc Graboff, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment.
“We’ve made our decision, we’re happy with it and were very confident The Tonight Show will continue to be dominant.”
