Radio One is reportedly considering replacing Chris Moyles with the annoying Vernon Kay, on their breakfast show next year.
A BBC source told The Daily Mail: “Vernon is extremely popular and the radio bosses love him. No formal offer has been put in yet – there’s still seven months left on Moyles’ deal after all – but he is definitely in the frame.”

America’s OK magazine has claimed that Kristen Stewart has dumped her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson after he got too serious, too quickly.
“Rob was talking marriage,” an insider told the magazine. “The relationship was also stealing all of Kristen’s attention and keeping her from spending time with her friends and family.
“She told him they need to take a break.”
The pair are currently filming New Moon sequel Eclipse in Vancouver, Canada. They are also thought to have disagreed about where to live when filming had wrapped. Pattinson reportedly wanted to avoid Hollywood, whilst Kristen wanted to remain in LA.

Former EastEnders star Rob Kazinsky says he doesn’t understand why people want to see him naked.
After filming a viral for Radox’s Be Selfish campaign Rob said: “I’m not in the shape I used to be. I don’t know why I’m getting paid to do this.”
He went on: “You get used to doing things which aren’t entirely natural as an actor and standing naked in front of people seems to be one I come up with over and over again. I seem to be constantly getting my kit off in b****y TV shows and films but if that’s the only way I get jobs long may it continue.”

I’m referring of course to EastEnders’ latest keenly awaited whodunit; with Darren turning out to be baby George’s dad.
As of course we all know by now – and as Lisa announced right after the show on Friday – Darren was the subject of the big reveal, and everyone in my house issued a collective “no way!” or words to that effect, some of which began with F.
For me, the only two people who it could credibly have been were Billy or Minty; Phil just plain wouldn’t have, and Darren wasn’t even on my radar! I thought the writers had just lobbed him into the plot for a laugh… Read more & comment »

Why, oh why, was this despicable women given airtime that I presume Channel 4 paid her for to boot? Emily Horne, convicted bigamist and duplicitous, deceitful liar, used this show to put across “her side” of what amounted to an Alice in Wonderland meets Brothers Grimm fairytale of deceit and compulsive lying.
But unlike any fairytale, this story involved real people being really conned, repeatedly. And really hurt in the process.
Having watched Horne lie and lie her way through this documentary – and also it seems her entire life, according to the evidence of those who know her best – I felt that what Emily needs is not a camera in her face, it’s a cell. A secure one at that. Read more & comment »

Rob Lowe has admitted that while he has taken up the dangerous sport of heliiskiing, he won’ let his teenage sons accompany him.
Rob, who is father to 16-year-old Matthew and 13 year old John, told Ellen DeGeneres: “It’s doing something very dangerous. I have not taken the kids. They want to go. That’s a little bit of a discussion at home. My wife is like, ‘Are you crazy?’ I think we’re going to have to wait until they are at least old enough to shovel me out.”

It’s been reported recently that both A Bouquet of Barbed Wire and Upstairs Downstairs are to be remade, and both are due to air next year. I was delighted to hear that they’re being brought back to our screens, but will they be as good as the originals?
And it also made me wonder what shows you’d like to see reprised, or even just revisited in a one-off special?
As to Upstairs Downstairs, it used to be compulsive viewing in our house when I was a kid, and the many, many repeats of it have also counted me in their viewership because watching the show always brought back such happy memories… Read more & comment »

Soap stars Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas have split up.
The pair dated for 15 months but are said to have found it difficult to recover from the death of their baby son in February.
One friend told The Sun: “His death hit them for six and they were both devastated by it.
“But they had not been together long so they found it hard to deal with. Often couples in that situation have a shared history which helps them get over it – but they didn’t have that.”
