Robert Englund has revealed that the remake of V makes him “feel pretty old”.
England played a mild mannered alien named Willie in the original miniseries’ and TV show. Robert also starred as Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare On Elm Street franchise, which is currently being rebooted as well.
“My two biggest hits are being remade so there’s kind of a perfect storm right now,” he told TV Guide.

ABC have released the above clip from their V remake, in advance of it’s US premiere on the 3rd of November.
It’s not a bad opening to the series and definitely introduces you to the major characters from the show. By the way, did anyone else notice Bailey Salinger from Party Of Five? Who would have known he was still alive and kicking?

Wedeck and the team tries to find a link between Janis’s attack and a separate quarrel as Hallowe’en approaches, and Olivia confronts her husband about his vision. Lloyd’s son Dylan disappears from the hospital, and Simon makes contact with a reluctant acquaintance. Elsewhere, Demetri and Gough track down a potential clue that Mark saw in his flash forward.
Conditions aboard Destiny continue to deteriorate as the ship’s water reserves rapidly dwindle, and Rush announces that the crew will have to find a new supply on the nearest planet – a frozen wasteland with a poisonous atmosphere.
Now that the nights are drawing in and it’s just too dang cold to go anywhere, why not cosy up with your telly and a duvet, because there are some great shows on this week.
And as it’s soon Halloween, we’ve got lots of scary recommendations that should make sure you need to sleep with the light on for a week or so! Read more & comment »
Sarah Jane has met Peter Dalton and wants him to become part of her life, as the adventure series continues; perhaps he could become a father to Luke. But Clyde suspects that Peter is hiding a secret or two, especially when he and Rani find an empty house where Peter says his home should be.
Joss Whedon has admitted that he is “not as depressed as everyone else” over the planned Dollhouse hiatus next month.
The show’s creator posted on his fansite Whedonesque.com: “Howzabout that schedule? Well, I’m not as depressed as everyone else. We weren’t about to rock sweeps anyway, and though there’s a chilly November, December is CRAZY (sic).”
He added: “It’s like an Advent calendar of episodes! We get November to try to spread the word (which I’ll be leaning on Fox to do, though it’s hard to imagine them doing as good a job as the WhyIWatch guy) and then December is pure gluttony.”
Things are not looking good for Dollhouse, as it has been confirmed that the show will go on hiatus this November.
Fox has previously promised to broadcast the remaining episodes in full, however these will now be aired back to back in December.
Miracle Laurie, who plays November on the show, wrote on her Twitter: “Trying not to be depressed. Get ANYONE you can convince to watch #Dollhouse LIVE this Fri, cuz we won’t be back till Dec. see ya then!”
This might also have been called Defying Logic, because, as we all know, stuff in space relies on logic to make it work, and programmes about space require someone to commission them, and that’s why it Defied Logic.
Who, oh who, thought this show was a good plan? Whoever it was, they should be in a position better suited to their talents, such as picking up dog poop, for in commissioning Defying Gravity, that’s pretty much what they’ve done.
In fact, in the States where Defying Gravity took its first faltering – and literally weightless – steps, it’s already been cancelled, so that makes it even more logic defying. Why is the BBC showing a series that – should anyone actually want to watch – doesn’t ever come to a conclusion? Read more & comment »
Flashforward Co-showrunner/Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim has left the show according to reports.
The Hollywood Reporter states that co-creator/exec producer David Goyer will take over the role on a solo basis. Guggenheim was brought on to assist Goyer who had limited TV experience for the first 12 episodes of the show. Goyer will complete the nine episode back order alone.
The Destiny continues to drift without power and the crew makes a failed attempt to avoid a collision with a star. Eventually, it is decided to abandon the ship using the one remaining shuttle, hoping one of three nearby planets will support the castaways. However, feelings of relief are soon crushed when Colonel Young announces the vessel will only fit 17 people, meaning a draw must take place to decide who goes – with the exception of himself and Rush, who both opt to remain aboard.

Sci Fi TV channel will preview a section of the ‘V’ first episode ahead of its US premiere.
This weekend will see a screening, airing ten minutes of the pilot episode at London MCM Expo.
“V is one of the most highly anticipated series of the year – and we can’t think of a better place to showcase it and whet fans’ appetites then at MCM Expo – where we know it’s going to go down an absolute storm,” said Sci Fi’s James Newton.

It can’t stage an actual alien invasion, but The Hollywood Reporter reports that ABC is planning the closest thing to mark the launch of it’s new show ‘V’.
This Friday, skywriters will create giant V’s in the sky at 26 different American locations.
Although the network has not yet revealed the actual locations, popular suggestions have been The Statue Of Liberty and the Grand Canyon.
No Dollhouse hasn’t been cancelled (yet) but Joss Whedon has admitted that he will be directing an episode of Glee in the upcoming season.
Glee boss Ryan Murphy gushed:
“Joss directed one of the great musical episodes in the history of television on Buffy,” gushes Murphy, “so this is a great, if unexpected, fit. I’m thrilled he’ll be loaning us his fantastic groundbreaking talent.”
The following is an excerpt from Whedon’s post on the fan site Whedonesque:
