On Monday, Sally continues to play the woeful housewife, but after over-hearing her spearheading a heated conversation with Vincent on the phone, Laurel’s left sceptical of the truth behind their separation.
Suspicion aroused, Laurel airs her concerns to Ashley about Sally’s inconsistency and after failing to get any reaction other than sorrow for his ex, a frustrated Laurel takes it upon herself to address the matter with a coy Sally. Later, Ashley returns home to be confronted with an announcement from Sally that she’ll be out of their hair by the end of the week. She’s pleased when it causes tension between him and Laurel. Is Sally really up to no good?
Elsewhere, with her bravado back in full swing, Chas asks Diane if she has any hours for her at the Woolpack. Unable to help her out, Diane suggests she talk to Jai, so turning on the charm, Chas broaches the subject with Jai. Will she secure herself a job at the factory? Read more & comment »

On Monday at 7:30pm, Lloyd has a hangover and regrets spending the night with Teresa. Meanwhile, Teresa’s walking on air and nips to the corner shop to buy breakfast. Teresa’s proudly telling Darryl about her night when Lloyd drives past in his cab – he’s clearly doing a runner.
Teresa’s gutted but promises she won’t breathe a word particularly to Liz. Liz apologises to Lloyd and tells him she’d like to give their relationship another go. Lloyd confesses to Liz he had a one night stand but doesn’t tell her who with – step in Michelle who unwittingly spills the beans to a horrified Liz. Is this the end for Liz and Lloyd once more?
Tyrone’s upset after Molly’s behaviour recently and accuses her of no longer being interested in him. Molly tries to make light of it and leaves for work, but Tyrone tells a worried Kevin he wants to talk to him about Molly. What’s on Tyrone’s mind? Read more & comment »

On Monday, Peggy and Phil stare in amazement at Sam’s sophisticated look for her court appearance, but a frustrated Sam tells Peggy that she’s attending court on her own as she’s not a child.
Later, Sam learns that Ricky can’t make it to her hearing and when Archie offers to go along with her instead, she declines. Sam bumps into Janine in the café and when they start talking, they realise that they have common ground. Janine explains that she’s been through a similar ordeal and they soon leave the Square together. Read more & comment »

On Monday at 7:30pm, as the post arrives, all the Street’s residents receive a surprise letter from John Stape, explaining that he and Fiz intend to live on the street and he asks for their support.
Roy and Hayley are sympathetic whilst Norris and Dev are appalled. Sally meanwhile is furious to discover John’s been writing to all her neighbours, and is further incensed when she and Kevin receive the same letter. Like a woman possessed, she calls a meeting in the Rovers, intent on drumming up anti-John support.
Kevin has other things on his mind though; he’s desperate to spend more time with Molly and has found a 10k run is taking place in Glasgow, so he lies to Sally about entering it. Despite her initial insistence that he support her at the Stape meeting, she gives him her blessing and, with Tyrone happy for Molly to go too, the illicit lovers look forward to a romantic break. On Monday, Cain’s not impressed when he arrives home to discover he and Debbie have a new lodger.
Elsewhere, tensions between Ashley and Laurel start to build as Sally begins to make herself at home. Following pressure from Laurel, Ashley talks to Sally, advising that she should go home and talk to Vincent. However, it isn’t long before Doug arrives with a weary looking Sally, who’s been thrown out by Vincent for “being honest”, as Ashley had advised. Will Sally continue to drive a rift between Laurel and Ashley?
Meanwhile, in the Woolpack, Marlon marches Moira into the kitchen, ranting about a hair in some food that a customer has complained about. Weary of his relentless ticking off, Moira can’t take anymore and casually hands in her notice to an irritated Diane. Unimpressed that he’s to blame for Moira’s departure, Diane makes her feelings clear to Marlon. Read more & comment »

On Monday, as Syed tries to paint over the ‘Bad Boy’ graffiti on the front door, Zainab panics him when she reveals that she knows who the bad boy of the family is – it’s Tamwar and she’ll be able to prove it “before the day’s out”.
Presuming the vandalism was for his benefit, Syed rushes to the café in search of Christian, but, unable to find him, Syed receives a call from Zainab who’s worrying about Tamwar’s whereabouts. Syed soon finds Tamwar looking at his phone, but when asked what he’s looking at, he refuses to show his brother.
Having found Tamwar, Syed tracks down Christian to his flat and expresses his concern that someone knows about their secret affair. Christian, however, tries to allay his fears. Read more & comment »

There’s a cracking line-up of telly treats this week as we say goodbye to September and hello to October.
There are brand new series beginning this coming week, such as FlashForward – which I personally can’t wait to see – and the return of some old favourites such as Benidorm, which is guaranteed to bring some much welcome sunshine into our ever drawing-in Friday nights.

On Monday, Leyla’s delighted with her new designer shoes and covers that she paid for them on her credit card. However, when Nathan arrives at the shop to take the petty cash tin and balance the accounts, she starts to panic and confesses her crime to Gennie, who warns her she could be in trouble with the police.
Nathan instantly realises money is missing from the petty cash, and Leyla tries to hide her guilt when he places the responsibility on Doug as the manager and questions whether he’s trustworthy.
In the pub later, Maisie comments on Leyla’s shoes and when Nathan overhears her telling Leyla £250 is a bargain for them, he realises she’s responsible for the missing money. Feeling she has no choice, Leyla owns up to Nathan who’s annoyed, but tells her if she returns the cash within the month, he’ll look the other way. Leyla’s relieved but does Nathan have an ulterior motive? Read more & comment »

On Monday at 7:30pm, it’s Fiz’s big day, but the bride to be is full of pre-wedding jitters, and with Chesney still refusing to go, it’s looking like being far from the happiest day of her life.
Fixing a smile, Fiz puts on her dress and prepares to leave. But when she’s greeted outside by a vitriolic Rosie, she’s more on edge than ever. Arriving at the prison, she’s met by John and finally admits to him that everyone’s against them, including Chesney. Will John be able to calm Fiz’s nerves or as the registrar waits, is Fiz about to get cold feet?
Rosie plays it cool with Luke at the factory, but secretly, she’s hatching another plot to win back her man. Inventing a fake meeting, she tells Luke he needs to meet his landlord back at the flat at lunchtime. She then secretly steals his mobile and texts Michelle to make sure she’s there. Luke falls for it, but when he arrives at the flat, will he fall back into Rosie’s seductive arms? Read more & comment »

On Monday, James suggests to Christian that he cook a Sunday roast for Ian, Jane, Syed and Amira, but Christian’s not too happy with the idea.
Over at Masala Queen, Masood’s excited about becoming a father again, but Jane’s despondent that she can’t have children. Having told Ian that she wants to look into having a baby, Ian suggests that they discuss it later. Christian’s later shocked when his sister reveals her hopes of expanding the family.
Later at Christian’s, Ian and Jane turn up along with Syed for Sunday lunch. Syed explains that Amira’s out shopping and therefore can’t attend. After a ‘moment’ in the kitchen between Christian and Syed, Christian takes his frustration out on Ian when he makes a negative comment about Zainab having another child “at her age”. Christian calls Ian a thoughtless and selfish man, prompting Ian to reveal that he doesn’t want any more children. Christian also tells James to keep out of his family business. On Monday at 7:30pm, Emily’s struggling to get on with her life after Ramsay’s shock death. But when she returns from work early, she gets little sympathy from Norris. Unable to stand his coldness, Emily turns to Rita, admitting that she’s sick of losing loved ones and having to pick herself up.
As Rita comforts her, Emily decides to call an uneasy truce with Norris, but how will she react when Norris reveals he’s planning to refuse all that Ramsay has bequeathed him?
As Fiz heads out wedding dress shopping, she informs Kirk of where she’s going but urges him to keep quiet, explaining that she wants to tell Chesney herself. However, when Kirk lets slip to Chesney about Fiz marrying John in prison, it looks like she‘s missed her chance. Chesney storms round to the factory where a major row ensues. On Monday, following her meeting with Archie last week, Peggy heads across to the Car Lot to see him. There, he shows her a suitcase full of cash – £150,000 – to cover the outstanding balance of Sam’s bail money.
Archie tells Peggy that she can have the money, but only on the condition that he can move back into the Vic. Peggy’s furious at his suggestion but Archie concedes that they’ll sleep in separate beds to start with. Peggy, however, points out that the rest of the Mitchell family won’t be happy with the decision.
In desperation, Peggy again asks Ronnie if she’ll put forward her profits from the sale of her half of R&R. Ronnie’s resolute, though; the money’s for her future as she and Joel are looking to buy a club together and start a new life. Read more & comment »
