Channel 4 series Hidden Talent uncovers amazing abilities nobody knew they had!

A new Channel 4 series, which is hosted by Richard Bacon, has uncovered that some people have astounding abilities that they had absolutely no clue they had.

Airing on Tuesday, 01 May 9:00 pm, Hidden Talent sees Richard overseeing the project from the very beginning, when the show’s bosses placed ads in local papers asking people to come forward if they wanted to discover a hidden talent.

Some 900 people responded from all over the country, and after undergoing a range of tests, some of the new abilities discovered included a world-class opera singer, someone who’s able to spot when someone else is lying with 100 per cent accuracy, and a young man who learned to be fluent in Arabic in just eight weeks…

Writing about the show in the Sun today, Richard said, “My favourite story in the series involves 19-year-old James, who was living in a homeless shelter when he replied to our ad.

“Our experts discovered he has a breathtaking natural ability for languages.

“This came as a surprise to James, who’d never studied linguistics, didn’t have a particular interest in foreign cultures and had only been abroad once in his life — to Spain when he was ten.

“But we didn’t just discover James’s talent and send him on his way. We wanted to test it, to push him really hard.

“So we gave him 19 weeks to learn to speak and write one of the most difficult languages in the world — Arabic. He did it in two months.

“Then there’s factory worker Lee. His hidden ability is even rarer. He can take one look at a work of art and tell if it’s a forgery.”
