Chris Moyles is to host his first TV show in five years as Channel 4 hire him to present ‘Quiz Night.’

Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night will be a quiz show with a difference as host Chris will be competing in the show himself against three celebrities. And what’s more he’s putting up his own possessions as prizes! The winner each week will take home a prize that Chris has donated while the person who comes last will have to sing out the show accompanied by an eight-piece, all-female big band.

Stakes will be high as Chris will be equally desperate not to lose his treasured goodies or to face having to sing out the show. And there will be no chance of cheating as Chris won’t know any of the questions in advance, so will be competing on an equal footing with his guests.

A different celebrity will also set the questions each week, playing the role of honorary quiz master; their questions filmed in advance and played into the studio for Chris and his opponents to mull over. In addition the celebrity guests who compete against Chris will also be there to chat, so there will be plenty of banter within the quiz.

Andrew Newman, Head of Entertainment at Channel 4, said: “Chris Moyles must be the biggest star in Britain without his own TV show and we’re very pleased he has decided to change that by doing his own show on Channel 4. In Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night we’ll be making the most of his irreverence, wit, knowledge of pop culture and competitiveness while pitting him against a series of celebrity guests and hoping he won’t cheat.”
