This is your 30 minute warning!
It’s Christmas Day 2013, we’re here already and what would the start of the day be without ‘Santa Claus: The Movie’? It’s a classic and even old than me – only by a few years though!
‘Santa Claus: The Movie’ is great for all the family and while most of you are probably just opening your presents this might just be a good film to stick on in the background while you’re unwrapping your presents.
I think as far back as I can remember that ‘Santa Claus: The Movie’ has always been on TV first thing on Christmas morning even though it’s not the greatest!
If somehow you haven’t seen it before then let me explain what it’s all about – other than Santa Claus, that’s obvious.
Dudley Moore stars as an elf alongside Santa Claus (David Huddleston) who to begin with we find out is a simple woodcutter who every Christmas Eve becomes the jolly man in the red suit that we all grow up with.
However when Patch played by Dudley Moore leaves the North Pole to start a life in the Big Apple – New York City he ends up meeting someone who wants to end Santa Claus.
Meet B.Z, an evil toy tycoon played by John Lithgow who uses Patch as part of his plans to take over Christmas and so Santa’s adventure – possibly his biggest yet begins – as he tries to save his trusty elf.
Not only that though but he must save Christmas for all the children around the world before the greedy toy manufacturer ruins everything forever.
If you haven’t seen ‘Santa Claus: The Movie’ before and aren’t convinced yet then watch the official trailer for the movie below.
It really isn’t for everyone but it’s one we just had to mention.
Stick with us throughout the day for more movies you really shouldn’t miss with yes – a half an hour warning, a klaxon if you will.
Okay so now it’s time for the trailer if you really aren’t convinced.
