Christmas Day 2013: Don’t miss ‘Top Of The Pops Christmas’

by Martin

This is your 30 minute warning!

We love Top Of The Pops and it’s a real shame it isn’t around as often anymore. Anyone else remember when it used to be on every Friday night at 7pm?

However we’re happy to see it back for Christmas and New Year and as always it’s presented by the lovely Fearne Cotton and her co-host Reggie Yates.

‘Top Of The Pops Christmas’ will this year feature performances from the biggest stars of 2013 including OneRepublic, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J and Tom Odell.

Is that all I hear you cry? Not at all, there’s plenty more than that.

John Newman, Chase & Status featuring Moko, Rudimental, Rizzle Kicks, James Blunt and The Saturdays will also perform on the hour long special.

Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith and Boyzone who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year will also perform on the ‘Top Of The Pops Christmas’ special.

The New Year’s Eve special will also see many of the same faces return but we’ll have more on that nearer the time.

Host Reggie Yates commented on the ‘Top Of The Pops Christmas’ special and said: “Rather like Christmas dinner, falling asleep in front of the telly and celebrating with family, hosting Top Of The Pops is fast becoming a yearly tradition for me and one I look forward to every year.”

“With a great line up of acts this year’s shows promise to be as epic as ever.”

Mollie from The Saturdays also commented about the Christmas special and said: “It’s such a legendary show and we watch it every year with our loved ones while celebrating the holidays,”

While Frankie from The Saturdays added: “I personally couldn’t be more excited to be back with the other girls for this special performance.”
