You may love her or hate her, but you’ll certainly remember her, for who could forget the loud mouthed Cilla Battersby!

Cilla latest job has been as a carer to Frank, a man almost as rude and ignorant as her. But after his sudden death Cilla is disappointed to discover that he only left her a few hundred pounds in his will. Upon hearing the news Cilla decides to pawn a necklace that Frank had recently given her and was astounded to find out that it was worth £45,000.

Wendi Peters who plays Cilla says: “She goes down to the jewellers expecting about 50 quid, so when the jeweller comes back and says he will offer her 45 for it, she asks him to give her the money in cash.

“The jeweller explains to Cilla they don’t keep that kind of amount to hand in cash, after all, £45,000 is a lot of money.”

Peters also revealed that after receiving the money, Cilla decides to make a new life for herself in Las Vegas.

She says: “It’s everything that Cilla is about. It’s loud, it’s gaudy, it’s bold, and it’s twinkly. There are drinks on tap all day. She just loves the whole idea of it.”

Poor Fizz will end up playing surrogate mother once more!
