Cold Case gets the Brokeback Mountain treatment when Lilly (Kathryn Morris) reopens the 1968 case of a murdered policeman, after a dying convict gives her a vital clue.

Sean Cooper (Shane Johnson) was a womaniser, a heavy drinker and was regularly involved in fights. He was also one of the best cops in Philadelphia. Cooper was known to ruffle feathers, so when he was found murdered in his patrol car, the list of potential suspects was long. It could have been a revenge killing, a jealous boyfriend, a gangland murder, a disgruntled drug-dealer or just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But as Rush’s investigation continues, she learns that Cooper and one of his colleagues may have been more than just partners on the job. Could this revelation be the breakthrough she needs to solve the case?
